Four years ago, President Trump promised he would “Make America Great Again” — we know he has not failed us.

A few months ago, economists across the country predicted a 20 percent unemployment rate,  anticipated the S&P 500 would fall below 2,000,  and projected a loss of 8.5 million jobs.

While they predicted an economic lull, I am proud to say that these “experts” could not be more wrong.

As the president did once before, the May and June jobs reports showed an American economy that is bouncing back. In two months, the United States added 7.5 million jobs, and the unemployment rate fell by 3.5 percent. More important, the S&P 500 is now more than 3,000 points and the NASDAQ broke 10,000 for the first time.

In comparison,  the Obama-Biden administration saw the slowest economic recovery in the history of our nation. Now that we have a businessman in the White House, Trump is taking the necessary steps to protect our economy and readying us for “The Great American Comeback.”

Trump’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is largely responsible for this economic comeback.

Try as they might, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and their Democratic allies could not stall this program and all the good it did for families and small businesses across the country. Thanks to PPP, more than 51 million jobs have been saved nationwide during the coronavirus crisis.

PPP funding goes to those who need it most, with our small businesses seeing the greatest results. To date, as many as 84 percent of small business jobs have been protected.

Another crucial measure Trump took to protect Americans during the pandemic was the passage of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Thanks to the CARES Act, our nation’s hospitals and health care providers on the front line of coronavirus response have received $100 billion to support their lifesaving work.

More important, Americans received financial relief mid-pandemic, providing critical assistance to families struggling to make ends meet.

Thanks to Trump, more than $267 billion in Economic Impact Payments have been sent to 159 million Americans across the country.

On July 1, Trump’s replacement for Joe Biden’s disastrous NAFTA program — which killed 750,000 American jobs in just seven years — went into effect. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, which has been praised as a “clear win” for Americans, is a modernized trade program that will finally put America first. Trump promised us a replacement for NAFTA, and he went above and beyond to deliver us the USMCA.

The USMCA will grow the American economy at a time when we need it the most. Nationally, this historic trade deal has the potential to add nearly 600,000 jobs and grow our gross domestic product by $235 billion.

Across the country, Trump Victory is on the ground making sure that every single American hears about Trump’s “Promises Made, Promises Kept” agenda and is equipped to help him toward re-election this November. It is Trump’s ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept’ agenda that is propelling Trump Victory’s field efforts across the country.

This election alone, more than 1.8 million Trump Victory volunteers have knocked on doors or made phone calls to ensure that voters know about the agenda. This army of grassroots supporters is what makes the difference for Trump.

On their most recent National Weekend of Action, hundreds of thousands of volunteers across the nation celebrated 100 days until Election Day by talking to millions of voters across the country.

Not only are these volunteers making waves in their communities but they are also breaking records by ensuring their neighbors are able to vote. At this point in the cycle, our team has registered more than 100,000 Americans to vote to ensure their voice is heard in November.

They are talking to record numbers of voters as well. By the end of July, our army of volunteers has already made more than 70 million voter contacts across the country, talking to more than double the number of voters than the entirety of the 2016 cycle.

During this critical time of “The Great American Comeback,” our country cannot afford to let Joe Biden destroy all progress President Trump has made over the past three and a half years.

We made the right choice in electing Trump in 2016, and there is no one I would rather have my back in 2020.

I hope that you join me this November in supporting Trump for four more years.
